Open your heart and save Ella & Carla!

Only with your support will the promising young rider Carla not be separated from the mare Ella, with whom they have been a successful team for 6 years. She will be able to continue her dream of representing Slovakia at the European Championships.

Carla Scholzová was named Athlete of the year of the city of Komárno at the age of fourteen. She holds four titles of Slovak champion in western riding. She also transferred her passion for horses and this non-traditional sport to the choice of her future profession. She is currently a first-year student at the high school in Ivanka pri Dunaji, where she studies horse breeding and riding. She learned that horseback riding is not just a hobby, but hides hard work, love and big responsibility.

"A true rider must be able to take care of his horse. Regular cleaning, combing and sacrifice of free time to create the true bond, because the reflection of a successful rider is a bond with his animal. And not every rider is lucky to have the right horse. "       

At the first meeting, Carla felt that there was something exceptional between her and a horse named Ella, an 11-year-old mare of the Quarter horse breed. Carla doesn’t waste a minute of her free time, which she would devote to her best friend Ella. The success of Ella and Carla in the competitions shows the significant harmonic relationship between the animal and man, their hard work full of respect and love. Neither success nor a relationship is born overnight. Right now, however, there is a imminent danger that the invincible duo Carla & Ella will have to say goodbye.

What is the current situation?

The current situation is very serious. The owner of the ranch, where Ella is housed, as well as its owner, decided to sell Ella for organizational reasons. Carla knows that her family can't afford to buy Ella, but at the same time she can't imagine losing her horse, her best friend. In order to be able to buy Ella from the current owner, Carla needs EUR 6,000 by the end of November at the latest, otherwise the owner will offer Ella to other interested parties.

Your support and sponsorship will give hope to a young talented athlete in achieving goals not only in Slovakia but also abroad. Carla is a four-time champion of Slovakia in western riding (2017, 2018, 2019, 2019). In 2017 she also became the champion of Slovakia in the barrel race junior. In 2018 she defended the previous title and in 2019 she won even two titles of champion of Slovakia, in barrel race and pole bending. She also received the title of Athlete of the year of the city of Komárno. She is very happy about her successes, but her dream is to represent Slovakia at the European Championships and compete with top riders. However, participating in the European Championships is also expensive.
